The automotive multinational MAIER has selected Mapex's M.E.S. system interfaced with SAP in real time for the control of production and quality in the plants in the countries where it operates.
Maier is a European leader in the decoration of plastic parts and manufacturing of technical sub-assemblies for the automotive industry. Maier works with technologies such as chrome, paint, laser engraving and hot stamping.
It has 4 technology centers and 14 production centers located in 11 countries, with more than 2,400 workers. It is part of the prestigious Mondragón corporation, one of the largest cooperative organizations in the world.
Mapex will participate in the AIKW (International Association of Calibrators and Lamination Engineers) conference, which will take place on 4th to 6th October 2017 in Lisbon (Portugal).
The AIKW is a registered professional organization for roll pass designers and rolling mill engineers with a main emphasis in the field of hot rolled long products. The aim of the Association is to maintain and to deepen the members' skills acquired during theit basic training and subsequent practical work and to promote the exchange of experience between members.
In this respect, regular scientific conferences with presentations on specific topical subjects and plant visits make an important contribution. International speakers are invited to these conferences to give presentations on specific subjects of rolling mill technology and adjacent areas of production engineering, plant engineering and organization.
In addition to members, any interested individual working in the steel industry or in the field of mechanical engineering, plant engineering or in the supplying industry, as well as university and polytechnic students and students from technical and master craftspeople schools may participate in the conferences and visits offered.

Mapex continues its expansion and opens a new branch office in Valencia.
The new office will support customers in the southeast zone of Spain and Madrid area. The office is located in the south of Valencia, in Albufera Park.
Mapex participated in the OMRON event on traceability and serialization in the chemical-pharmaceutical sector that took place on March 7 at the OMRON facility in Barcelona. During the event, the latest innovations in the regulation of serialization and traceability in the sector were presented, as well as the latest technologies in automation, traceability, MES systems and artificial vision.
